Data Protection and COVID-19: Can we ask our employees to share their COVID vaccination status
A person’s COVID vaccination status falls into the special category data under the UK GDPR. Accordingly, employers will have to proceed with caution should they decide to collect, and process, this data, to ensure compliance under the UK GDPR as well as under the Data Protection Act 2018.
