Entertainment Law Review, Issue 7, September 2022
This article discusses the recent fine issued to Clearview AI by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for its processing of biometric data of individuals in the UK. The article also discusses the different uses for Facial Recognition Technology (FRT), such as police use, the risks of using FRT and the tension between such processing of biometric data and data protection laws worldwide.
